A sequel to our inaugural 2023 report: New insights and continued challenges
Our 2023 report was a confronting read for many, headlining the significant total cost of fatalities, serious injuries, and health effects, which amounted to $4.4 billion in 2022.
Fast forward ten months, the Forum has released another critical report: Been there Done that – a report into New Zealand’s repeated health and safety failings. This report highlights the unacceptable stalled progress, absence of regulatory clarity, and inadequate coordination across government agencies and industry.
The Forum is committed to reporting on New Zealand’s health and safety performance annually, and we’re looking forward to sharing our 2024 State of a Thriving Nation report with you in August.
